Mulleadys Recycling: Bin Service & Contact Number Guide 2026

Midlands household bin guide · 2026

Manage Your Mulleadys Bins Without Missing Collection Day

Mulleadys provides household general-waste, recycling and food-bin collections across Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon and Westmeath. Most household services operate on a fortnightly collection cycle, but your exact day is linked to your address and customer account.

Use this guide to compare current 2026 household plans, find your collection calendar, understand excess-weight charges, prepare bins before 6am, troubleshoot a missed collection and contact Mulleadys directly.

Quick answer: where does Mulleadys collect?

Mulleadys’ current household service page states that kerbside collections operate throughout Longford, Leitrim, Roscommon and Westmeath.

Waste, recycling and food bins are generally collected fortnightly under the current household plans. Food-bin service applies where available.

What day is my Mulleadys bin collected?

There is no reliable single public weekday list for every Mulleadys road. Your collection day depends on your route and address.

Existing customers can use their Mulleadys domestic account or mobile app to view collection and account details. Put the correct bin out before 6am on your scheduled day.

Collection days

Mulleadys Bin Collection Calendar 2026

Mulleadys does not publish one fixed Monday-to-Friday collection table that applies to every customer. Your collection schedule depends on the address and collection route registered to your household account.

The company’s customer portal and mobile app provide collection details for registered customers. This is safer than copying a neighbour’s date or an old screenshot because rounds and holiday arrangements can change.

1

Open your domestic customer account

Use the Mulleadys customer portal with your household customer number and password.

2

Check the collection calendar

Confirm which waste type is scheduled rather than assuming the black, blue and brown bins go out together.

3

Put the correct bin out before 6am

Mulleadys says collection times can vary and recommends presenting the bin before 6am on the scheduled collection day.

4

Recheck holiday weeks

Do not assume a normal collection pattern continues unchanged around Christmas, public holidays, severe weather or operational disruptions.

Collection frequency: the household plans currently advertise fortnightly waste, recycling and food-bin collections, where the food-bin service applies. Fortnightly does not mean every customer’s collection falls on the same weekday.

2026 household prices

Mulleadys Bin Prices and Household Plans

Mulleadys currently offers several household charging structures rather than one universal annual bin price. The best comparison is between monthly allowance plans, pay-by-weight and pay-by-lift.

Plan Base charge Waste bin Recycling bin Food bin
Monthly Plan Lite €24.50/month 30kg/month included; excess €0.20/kg 15kg/month included; excess €0.20/kg 20kg/month included; excess €0.15/kg
Monthly Plan Standard €29.50/month 60kg/month included; excess €0.20/kg 30kg/month included; excess €0.20/kg 30kg/month included; excess €0.15/kg
Pay by Weight €16.50/month €0.22/kg €0.12/kg €0.12/kg
Pay by Lift / eTag €1.50/week €14.50/lift; 45kg allowance, then €0.20/kg excess €7.50/lift; 15kg allowance, then €0.20/kg excess €2.00/lift

Bin rental: Mulleadys currently states that a once-off, non-refundable €60 rental charge applies for one standard household set consisting of a 240L waste bin, 240L recycling bin and 25L food bin.

Do not compare only the headline monthly price. Weight allowances, excess-kilogram charges, lift fees and how often you present each bin can materially change the actual household cost.

Choose a plan

Which Mulleadys Plan May Suit Your Household?

Lower-volume household

Monthly Plan Lite includes smaller monthly weight allowances and may suit a household producing relatively little general waste.

Higher regular usage

Monthly Plan Standard includes a larger monthly waste allowance before excess-weight charges apply.

Want charges tied to weight?

Pay by Weight combines a €16.50 monthly service charge with per-kilogram prices for each collected bin stream.

Do not present bins every round?

The eTag plan uses a €1.50 weekly service charge plus a charge each time the relevant bin is lifted.

This is a comparison of the published charging structures, not personal financial advice. Your actual cost depends on household waste weights, collection frequency used and excess charges.

Coverage

Where Mulleadys Household Bin Service Operates

The current Mulleadys household page specifically lists service throughout four counties:

County Longford

Mulleadys’ head office and main waste facility are at Cloonaugh, Drumlish, and the company also operates a Longford civic amenity site at Westlink Business Park.

County Leitrim

The household service page includes Leitrim within the current domestic collection footprint.

County Roscommon

Roscommon is included in Mulleadys’ household collection area, but exact routes remain address-specific.

County Westmeath

Mulleadys provides household service in Westmeath and operates two recycling/civic amenity facilities in Mullingar.

County coverage does not guarantee every address. A rural lane, boundary property or new housing development should still be checked with Mulleadys before signing up.

Three-bin system

Black, Blue and Brown Mulleadys Bins

Mulleadys uses separate household streams for general waste, mixed dry recycling and food waste. Contamination can cause a bin to be left unemptied.

Bin Use it for Do not put in
Black / general waste Residual household rubbish such as nappies, cooled bagged ashes, contaminated paper/cardboard and hoover contents. Medical waste, rubble, paint cans, electricals, batteries, waste oil, hazardous waste, glass and bulbs.
Blue / recycling Clean, dry paper, cardboard, newspapers, cans, cartons, plastic bottles, containers and accepted plastic film. Food, glass, electricals, nappies, textiles, polystyrene, batteries, bulbs and contaminated recycling.
Brown / food Meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, bread, dairy, pasta, grains, coffee grounds, tea bags and food-soiled kitchen towel. Glass, soil, metal, nappies, plastic packaging, plastic bags, textiles and green garden waste.

Blue-bin rule: Mulleadys says recyclables should be clean, dry and loose. Do not put recyclable material into plastic bags inside the recycling bin.

Collection morning

How to Put Mulleadys Bins Out Correctly

1

Present the bin before 6am

Collection times can vary. A truck arriving earlier than usual is not treated as a missed collection if the bin was presented late.

2

Place it at the road or kerb edge

Mulleadys says bins should be visible and safely accessible rather than left inside a driveway or private property.

3

Point the handles towards the road

This helps the collection operative manoeuvre the bin safely to the lifting equipment.

4

Close the lid fully

All material must be inside the bin unless Mulleadys has agreed another arrangement in advance.

5

Do not block access

Parked cars, locked gates or bins hidden from the road can prevent safe servicing.

No extra loose bags: Mulleadys says material alongside or on top of the wheelie bin is not permitted under local-authority presentation rules unless agreed in advance.

Troubleshooting

Mulleadys Missed Bin: Check These Things First

If your bin remains full after the truck has passed, Mulleadys asks customers to check several common reasons before reporting the problem.

Possible problem What to check Next step
Wrong bin presented Confirm which waste stream was due today. Wait for the next scheduled collection for that bin.
Bin put out too late Was it outside before 6am? Mulleadys says the vehicle does not normally return for a customer-missed presentation.
Insufficient account credit Check the portal/app balance and plan conditions. Top up in time for the next scheduled round.
Recycling contaminated Look for food, glass, nappies, batteries or other prohibited material. Remove contamination before the next recycling collection.
Bin too heavy Can one person reasonably move the bin? Reduce the load before presenting it again.
No obvious reason Correct day, time, balance and contents all appear fine. Contact Mulleadys so the collection can be investigated.

No automatic return: Mulleadys’ FAQ says that if you miss the collection, present the wrong bin or do not have the account paid sufficiently, the truck will not return later; the bin waits for its next scheduled collection.

Account & payments

How to Pay Your Mulleadys Bin Account

Mulleadys currently offers several ways to pay or manage a domestic account.

Mulleadys mobile app

The app lets customers check account details, view collection information, see balances and make payments.

Online customer portal

Domestic customers can log into the web portal using their customer number and password.

Automated payment line

The official FAQ currently gives 053 901 7747 as the automated payment telephone number.

Direct Debit / Payzone

Direct Debit is available on applicable plans. Mulleadys also lists payment-card payments through Payzone outlets.

Pay ahead: Mulleadys recommends making required payments at least 24 hours before collection because account updates need time to reach the collection vehicle.

eTag customers: sufficient credit must be on the account to cover the full bin lift before presentation. If the account does not contain enough credit, Mulleadys says the bin will not be emptied.

Moving house

Moving Address or Cancelling Mulleadys Service

Moving within the Mulleadys service area

Mulleadys asks for written notice and says customers should allow at least 10 working days for replacement bin-identification labels showing the new address.

You can take the bins with you, but Mulleadys says they will only be serviced at the address shown on the current identification label.

Moving outside the service area

Written cancellation is required. Mulleadys will close the account, calculate outstanding amounts and arrange recovery of its bins.

The bins remain Mulleadys property. The household terms state that supplied bins must be returned when the service is cancelled.

Lost or stolen bins

What If a Mulleadys Bin Goes Missing?

Mulleadys asks customers whose wheelie bin has been stolen to report the theft to An Garda Síochána and then contact the company.

The customer is currently responsible for the cost of a lost or stolen bin while it is in their possession. If repeated theft occurs, Mulleadys says a representative may visit the property to review the arrangement.
